Light Bar

Works just as designed. Easy to install.

Although the lights are awesome to have, the install was a bit tough with the self-tapping screws. I would recommend pre-drilling with a steel cutting drill bit.

Thought it was smart to buy with the rack. Works well, looks good.

After having our Velocirax 5X rack for a few months, we realized that when we had all 5 bikes on the rack, it was very difficult for drivers behind us to see our brake lights and turn signals. We added the light bar and immediately felt safer driving. I just wish this came standard on all racks!

Lights work awesome and they are nice sleek looking, a very good upgrade! Before we put the light on the rack you could hardly see the car taillights with all the bikes on the rack.

Added this for extra safety while traveling with bikes on the rack. It increased visibility and helps from being rear ended protecting us and the bikes.

Fit and finish are great, exactly what I expected with the Velocirax from the beginning. I think it aids in the safety of driving with a loaded rack making it easier for cars behind us to see turn signals and braking lights. Glad I got this before our big road trip!

This Makes the rack complete! Think about it the lights can be obscured by the bikes. Also it sets the lights out to where the bikes are so it adds to safety

Like many of you have probably noticed, people follow way too close to bike racks, especially in stop-and-go traffic. You may have even noticed in your rear view mirror -- as I have -- people who are not paying much (or any) attention and almost rear-end the rack before they realize that they have to stop far farther back away from your tail lights so they don't hit the bike rack. Enter the light bar, which puts vivid red lights right on the rack itself. Now people will give you space, and follow at an appropriate distance, which is safer for them, you, and your bikes.
